Putting Down Roots: Prayer Rally

Marion Baptist Church invites the community to join us on Sunday evening, November 8 from 6:30-7:30 PM for a prayer rally focusing on the youth and children of Marion. This will be an active and innovative prayer experience, geared especially toward high-school and middle-school and grade-school students their families, and those who work with them in any capacity.

Let's be sure the fruit of the revival puts down deep roots. Join us for a revival wrap-up prayer rally. This is a chance for us, as a church body, to pray for and pray over our youth, children, and even babies. This will be an interactive prayer experience that can impact our community for generations. Don't miss this chance to join God's most powerful prayer force-- His church-- in releasing His power and provision on our children and grandchildren and the generations yet to come.

What is a prayer rally?

This will be an energetic and interactive prayer experience, focusing on our youth and children and generations to come. We will also give special emphasis to praying for those who work with youth and children-- educators, coaches, youth leaders, parents and grandparents, and others.

The rally experience will be uplifting and affirming and has the potential to act as a power surge in the lives of everyone who participates. Power surges occur when something boosts the electrical charge at some point in the power lines, causing an increase in the electrical energy, which increases the current flow. That's what the dynamic prayers of one generation for another generation can do in the spiritual realm.

No one will be put on the spot or asked to pray aloud.

The harmonized prayers of the church are the most powerful force in the universe. Notice what Scripture has to say about the church as a united prayer force.

"His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, according to his eternal purpose which he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Ephesians 3:10-12).

"Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them" (Matthew 18:19-20).

"On this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it" (Matthew 16:18).

Don't miss this opportunity to participate in accessing all the power of heaven for the circumstances of earth.

On line prayer group for Marion women

If you want to be part of our on line prayer group, send an email to
marionwomensprayer-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. Or go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/marionwomensprayer and click on "Join this group."

You can choose whether to receive every email directly as they come in, or to get them all in a disgest form to yoru email box once a week or so. We will meet in person for prayer once monthly (still deciding the details of that-- stay tuned), and will stay in touch by phone and email in between.

What is a Concert of Prayer?

The first thing you need to know about a Concert of Prayer is that you will not ever be asked to pray aloud when you don't want to. I know that is a big fear for folks. And please know that if you have that fear, that does not make you "unspiritual." It makes you normal! We had a conversation about that at my ministry blog. You can look into that by going to my website (www.prayinglife.org) and clicking on "blog."

It will be a worship experience that weaves together music and some guidance from me for private and corporate prayer using the tabernacle as a pattern. We'll all be doing the same thing, and you will be experiencing the amazing presence of the Living Jesus. It will not be a message or a meeting. It will be an experience.
